I got a latte with oat milk. It was absolutely delicious — thick, not bitter, very hot, creamy. I do wish they had more seating and the option to drink from real mugs, but not many places on Newbury Street do. This is my favorite coffee on Newbury so far, and I will definitely be coming back here next time I’m walking through the area!

I’m a huge fan of Blue Bottle Coffee and I visit all the locations I can when traveling. This one was one of my least favorites. The staff was ok, nothing special there. The tables were dirty and needed to be wiped down. The counters weren’t clean and I saw coffee grounds spilling out on the counters. I ordered a matcha latte and it was served iced in a paper cup, not your typical clear plastic cold beverage cup. The location is really fun and the cafe is beautiful with all the wood, but not quite up to par compared to other locations.

The founder of Blue Bottle Coffee is James Freeman. He personally took orders for coffee beans roasted in San Francisco at the market every weekend. He weighed 60g of coffee beans on a scale, ground the beans, and sold hand-drip coffee using 94-degree water, which became a local specialty. To this day, following the founder's philosophy on coffee, he focuses on providing the best coffee taste rather than increasing the number of stores. Blue Bottle only uses beans roasted within 48 hours, and only uses eight menus and a single cup size. Since the barista extracts a cup of coffee using a hand drip, it is also very interesting to watch the process directly. Through the process, customers can see why the coffee they drink is special. Due to this, Blue Bottle's recognition worldwide is still not high, but no one can deny that the taste of the coffee is higher than Starbucks. While Starbucks focuses a lot on the space so that customers can stay comfortably, the taste of the coffee is not consistent from store to store. Even though Blue Bottle has a small and simple space, it focuses on providing customers with the best coffee and making them feel special.

Blue Bottle Coffee on Newbury Street is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The minimalist, cozy vibe made it the perfect spot to relax. I tried their pour-over, and it was hands down one of the best cups of coffee I’ve ever had. You can really taste the freshness and care that goes into every brew. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, making the experience even better. If you’re a coffee lover or just enjoy finding new places, I highly recommend stopping by! 5 stars all the way!

Small cozy coffee shop at the fancy Newbury street. You can savour the quality of coffee in the first sip. The service is awesome and the ham and cheese croissant as well. People may think it’s pricey but the quality of ingredients is high. So you pay for what you get. There is a bathroom for customers only.
